*laugh* Can somebody tell me - What IS the cubic metreage of McEwans ego? There was an interview with him yesterday where he basically said that without Petacchi and Zabel there, he's the only 'first tier' sprinter in the TdF this year.....then Boonen blows his doors off in the second stage!

Gotta confess, I had a good chuckle about that.

I watched the first stage live as I was just p¡ssed enough to be able to comandeer the TV remote at a party I was at, and everyone else was too p¡ssed to complain.
The highlight for me was trying to explain to a very, very drunk friend how the Tour works....

Me - "Well, after the first stage, if you're 40 seconds ahead of everyone else then you win that day's stage, but after 21 days of racing, the guy who finishes the entire 3000 odd kms the fastest wins overall"

Friend - "Huh?"
