Now, now, let's not get testy.
Throwing was definitely the issue for me. Shouting and honking didn't bother me at all. I was just worried when it escalated to throwing things. And that was mostly because of the thought that there might be further escalation when they see that throwing doesn't work either. After all, they've got a 2-ton vehicle at their disposal.
But apparently it's not the new trend I thought it was, judging from the replies. I guess I was just lucky until recently. The only thing I remember before this was more humorous than anything else -- an old geezer (even older than me) pulled up behind me in a left turn lane, honked his horn, waved as if directing traffic, and said "get off the road!" That was just a misunderstanding about road rights. Most of what we're talking about here is morons amusing themselves in the usual moron way.
