I have a wierd truce with the skunks. We have several at work. but I see their cousins on the way to work often. Once in the winter there was some light but a warehouse security light blinded me and I thought I saw a cat in the road ahead. I hollered " Here kitty." and the skunk ran with its distinctive gait into the culvert under the road. One recent morning I was flogging it up a hill when in the grass to the roadside an all black skunk startled at the same time I saw him. He stopped and somehow I went faster. Then when waiting for the gate to open at work Pepe and his girl friend had to be shooed away for me to get past them. Pepe is all white on top and his lady has almost no white. If you tell them to scoot away they mosey on around the fence. So far no one has been sprayed.
