The offset is 65 mm, which gets me trail around 40 mm. I wanted to imitate the geometry of an Alex Singer or the very similar Boxdog Pelican. I'll use either 28 or 32 mm tires and will carry a front bag on a little rack.

The original fork for this bike was 52 mm offset, and used medium reach brakes. The new fork has much longer blades (to keep the bike level) and needs a Mafac Racer with the pads at full extension. So that's a gotcha for people who want to go to low trail.
