I measured my own sitbones. I took a damp (not wet!) towel and laid it on a wood chair. I covered the towel with a piece of paper. I sat down on the paper and rocked back and forth a bit. I got up and there were two nice indents where my sit bones were. I measured center to center of the indent. The outside edges were a bit blurred.
