Here is an update on my progress. I started at 200 lbs. My highest weight was 213. I am now at 160. I have been maintaining 160 for about 3 or 4 weeks. My strength had dropped while I was losing weight but now that I have maintained for a few weeks I have my strength back. Riding hungry is tough my legs just didn't have any power. I should have done some weight lifting along with my yoga and riding while I was loosing this weight. I think that the weight lifting would have helped me not to lose strength to begin with.

I have decided to see if I can drop down to 140. This will put me at the bottom of the bmi scale for my height. I think that I will not try to drop 5 lbs per week but maybe go for around 2 lbs per week. It has been 42 years since I weighed 140. I may never get to this weight but like I said if I just stop losing weight and not have to change what I am eating that will be a win for me.

I only ride 5 miles a day but the miles are hill repeats. I have been spooked of traffic for a couple of years but yesterday I ventured back out into traffic. But I am not in heavy traffic. I don't think that I am ready for the big times yet.
