The problem with the calorie counter apps is that as long as you are eating "Known entities" (ie packaged foods), the counts are accurate. However, Ive just had a ham and cheese sandwich which is not "known" as I sliced the cheese and I added the chutney etc. I know I can estimate these values but its "work" to discover each value and how much I sliced. Then my wife will cook home-made dishes and where do I start with that?

Im not lazy but honest. I have tried a few of the calorie counting apps but when it means sitting at the PC at the end of a long work day and "guessing" at values, seems like too much hassle. I usually last about a week and I lose patience.

However, this thread has persuaded me to go try again
