Count me as one of those 1500 Arizona cyclists that were injured in 2010. I was lucky I got to the hospital with my life after Ms. Clueless turned out in front of me as I was passing by and plastered me on her windshield.

Did you know that AZ has the most lax driver's license requirements in the union? It is so easy to get a license here that people cross state lines, coming here just to take the driving test (if you can call it that) because they can't pass the test in their home states. It is very telling that this was not noted anywhere in the article.

As far as joggers, yeah I had one lady that jogs against traffic in the bike lane every single day on my daily commute. She doesn't move or anything when she sees me coming; just expects that I will swerve left into the traffic lane to avoid her. Luckily (?) I found that bike lane is also frequently littered with glass, so after three flats in as many weeks I found an alternate route and don't encounter that jogger anymore.

From both experiences above, I can't help feeling like we are totally the out group here.
