Thanks for the encouragement CPArider. It was a successful ride. Slow but sccuessful. Interesting weather---cool and cloudy until the last 20 miles or so where dense fog required a re-route off the Blue Ridge Parkway for those that weren't in the 5 or 6 hour crowd. They re-routed us onto US221 which was open to traffic----I guess the organizers lost the discussion with the Park Service.

Anyways, support was limited as you had surmised just water and food at 12 stops.

A few days later we rode the route of Hurt, Pain and Agony which starts and finishes in Traphill, NC. A real legbreaker of 67 miles with no more than 5 miles of flat---rest was up and down---but if you haven't done this ride and get a chance to do it on the organized day I would----truely stunning scenery and less than 50 cars in 5 hours of riding if you can believe that.
