you won't get an answer from me in the winter forum.

I generally use thin layers that can be removed. the colder it is, the more layers. My team jacket is made from a product called Windtex. It works pretty well at stopping wind, although needs layers underneath to truly be warm.

If it's below freezing I will wear thermals underneath my tights.

I have a couple of different hats that I use. Specialized makes a thin one that is pretty warm and doesn't make the helmet feel tight. For feet I tend to go with sock liners, then merino (thin wool), and sometimes chemical warmers. I also wear my shoes as loose as I can get them. This helps stay warm. On top of the shoes go neoprene covers.

For hands I use silk liners, then full-finger on top.
