Um...where did you hear this stuff? I generally consider those at Weightweenies to have (on average) a bit more knowledge than here and there are several there who have ordered just the Prodigy hubs from Soul and built their own wheels with Soul hubs. They are considered a good value for the cost...much like the wheels. As for the bearings comment anyone that says that is an idiot...there is a page on their site just for bearings...they have direct replacements and ceramic replacements (though Sean doesn't believe anyone needs the ceramics). http://bikesoul.com/2009/index.php?o...d=12&Itemid=22

Also I don't know about your LBS but Sean uses cartridge bearings so you can pick up replacements anywhere that stocks the right size. Plenty of places on the net to buy bearings.
