On that note: I saw a set of Rival shifters sans mechanics (brake levers FTW) off craigslist for $40... Emailed the guy and got a response that I am second in line, and if the guy doesn't pick them up on Sunday, they would be mine...

Than went to LBS and handled a set of $20 Tektro R340's... I have to say, Screw the screwed-up-Rival's...These levers feel great! But I won't be getting them until I find a set of bars that barely exists.
