The compression stuff sold at Walmart under the "starter" brand is ok as a baselayer but the sewing on the seams sometimes seems to be a bit shoddy at times (bad, 8 year-old, get to work on that). Not a fan of their "moisture wicking" t's as a baselayer though as those just seem to collect moisture and stick to me like cotton rather than wicking it.
