I had a Thule rack stolen. My Volkswagen was gutter-less, so there were straps that contacted the edge of the roof at the doors. I had a full set of locks. They took what was maybe a long screwdriver or a crow bar and just pried it off the car. I had a lot of damage to the roof. Now I only put the new rack on when I'm transporting the bike.
