If you change "Thule" to "Yakima", I could have written this response word for word. In the early 90's, my rack was stolen while I was in college. I had an assigned parking space in my apartment's garage. I imagine the thieves had been scoping it out for a while. I went out to my car on a Monday morning after a home football game weekend, and despite there being a lock in each tower, the rack was gone. Fortunately my car wasn't damaged in the process (not that it was anything great).
