GMR is a twisty descent with a handful of decreasing radius curves. The top speeds down it are not impressive by themselves. I don't think I ever spin out my 50/11 going down that, and am often shifting down to pedal out of turns.

As for my all time top speed, I've gotten to about 50mph a few times, and each time was on a long and straight road.
