You dried the chain off? Then you should be fine to let it sit and lube it next time you ride. Worst case you get a smidgeon of surface rust here and there.

I do the same thing myself. Got caught out in a light rain just the other day. Brought bike home. Rinsed with hose. Hung it on a hook. Will go over the bike and relube later when I have more time. That may not be the optimal approach, but it's plenty good enough.
