I think you have to draw a line between being angry with a motorist and "cyclo-rage". You say that the taxi touched the cyclist. If an automobile touched me, I would be darn angry and problably scream at him for the same reason (though not throw my bike at the car, its too precious and even if it wasn't, i wouldn't). When a motorist touches a bike, there is a very high chance of distaster ensuing.
