They work quite well together, but I have my reservations about the lower-end Alpha and Blaze series RD's. Those have an overshift tension spring in them (similar to Shimano Light Action) that makes upshifts sloppy on occasion. Cyclone 7000 and up are better choices for crisp shifting.
