The carbon bike with the 105 was basically my entry into carbon bikes. My alu/rival is still pretty expensive and not something I would commute and lock outside, but I don't commute much via bike so that's moot. I've had a 105 group before and it wasn't bad, just heavy. The build I was going to do was most likely a 105 or Ultegra in the future.
