There certainly are times when I've felt a need for more light, particularly when riding 20+mph on pitch black roads. That said, the ~400-500 lumens is plenty bright enough to avoid a *stationary* obstacle in front of me. Any video of lighting is more indicative of camera low-light sensitivity than of actual brightness.

I'd invest in more lighting, but I rarely ride at night so it's hard to justify the expense.
