The OP makes a good point. - And with more people today riding smaller bikes, there really needs to be a better way to brake from the top of the bars. (According to the manufacturers, you cannot generate sufficient braking power with your hands in the top position).
I'm able to squeeze hard enought to lock up both wheels from the top position. I wonder how is this not sufficient enough?
Then again, maybe I have the strength of 10 men.
