I have them on of my Paramount P 15's as well as on an old Nishiki Competition. Both work well, most likely because they are used with randonneur bars which increases the distance they can move. Why do I have them? Well, back in 73 when I bought my Nishiki International I considered taking them off, but they sort of grew on me. Once I got used to them and understood their limitations and the need to keep wheels true so that brakes can stay tightly adjusted they worked out just fine.
