I rode the Big Dam Bridge 100 two weeks ago in the Little Rock, AR area. Law enforcement at all major intersections for the entire period of the ride. Volunteers at smaller intersections. Signs marking the route. Well staffed, well stocked rest stops. Cross the finish line and a volunteer gives you a commemorative medal, and another volunteer hands you a chocolate milk, and post-ride hot food was waiting. Most well supported organized event I've ever ridden.
