No cyclist should ride "too far" to the right. We seem to disagree what "too far" means. I prefer to have some bailout room on my right, and that criteria changes often and fast, but my bailout room isn't related to me taking up an entire lane. The only criteria for my bailout space are the road conditions on the right, and not the amount of space on my left.
In short, you, SBRDude, are quite happy to provide the narrow gap between you and traffic in the adjacent lane that will entice the impatient motorist to squeeze through in an unlawful and dangerous manner. That's not my preferred system.
