Spud - I got the wheels for $389. The Conti Gatorskins (steel belted) were $40/each. I think that's the normal price on those. The tires were SOOO MUCH more comfortable than the stock tires. Easily felt how plush the ride was after I got them changed. Also, not quite the same route, but I did 16 miles before and after the change. I'd say they had about the same elevation change and I went from 11.9MPH avg to 13.2MPH! Upgrade was so worth it!!!
