I just bought an old Schwinn Suburban (not sure what year yet - surely early/mid 70's) and the bike is in surprisingly good condition. Needs new brake pads and some various adjustments. Shifts decently, though I probably won't end up shifting it at all for what I'll use it for. Just need to clean her up and she'll be good to go. However...

Its tires are completely shot. Luckily I know that 27 x 1 1/4, at one point, was an extremely common size, so the tires are still made. Don't know where to look though.

But what about rims? The original steel ones are actually in perfectly fine condition. They're even true, but holy cow are they heavy. Any hope of finding replacements of those at some point?
