Unless you have a double up front, you should be able to run a short cage rear.. I like the SRAM X-9 as they have ball bearing jockey wheels like the X-0.. On my Moulton TSR-9, I run a 60 11/32 with the short cage X-9 and thumb shifters... works just fine..
