Probably most, but not if you exceed the amount of chain it can handle.. on a TSR-18 I built up, 11/28 in the back and 60/39 in the front .. short cage in this instance wouldn't work.. there are chain wrap figures for most rear derailleurs .. in some instances, the numbers are conservative..
