Yup, 60/39 = big jump.. wanted to see if it would work.. I installed Shimano bar end shifters and an Ultegra road front derailleur... it actually worked sweet..

On this particular bike, I didn't need anything over 100 g/i .. the 11/28 9spd gave me appealing steps.. the Capreo 9/26 has some gaps that I wanted to avoid.. the 10t Moulton cassette costs more than I make in a month, so there were some considerations to be made.. the result though gave me a bike with essentially two ranges 40 to 100 g/i on the 60t and 26 to 65g/i on the 39 with pretty even steps ..
