I have a question that I've asked a couple friends who ride through the winter but I'd like a couple more opinions.

Does anyone grease the axle and nuts of their wheels? I'm not talking about the bearings or inside the hub but the part that will actually be outside during the winter and exposed to salt/snow, etc. I had the wheel nuts completely rust on to my axle last year and I don't want that to happen again.
