However I suspect that if I consistently ran a red light and the camera caught it, they'd put a live cop at the intersection and eventually I'd get caught.
I smile for the camera when I go through red lights with them. I like taking different routes for other reasons, mainly for exploring my city, but you bring up a good point. Varied routes also mean free red lights.
Red light camera = smile and wave.
