No one will stop you from doing whatever you want but health insurance should only cover useful medicine. I don't want my health insurance jacked up because you want homeopathy covered despite zero evidence of effectiveness. If you want homeopathy, pay for it. I suspect the same may happen with routine PSA tests. You can still pay for it. Based on what I am hearing here I suspect that PSA tests will probably remained covered in higher risk situations where reasons exist to suspect cancer and doctors want to monitor PSA velocity among other symptoms. Regardless, you could still elect to pursue it at your own cost.
