Very well said. This is why I have little respect for cyclists on the road (in terms of their compliance with the law) and therefore have very little sympathy for them when they whine and whine about law enforcement.

If bicycles had visible means of identification (sticker on a tube), then cyclists who run red lights could be fined - again and again until they got the message that they are not above the law. I don't advocate for registration right now, other means should be tried aggressively first.
