Poor Sierra!!

Speaking of Sierras, my friend was trying to tell me about a High Sierra frame he had a cuple of months ago, and I just didn't listen to him. Well, I visited him this weekend , and he had it out for me to see in person. I was like "Duh, of course I'll take it" An 88 High Sierra frame that is cream/beige pearl in front, and rear triangle the color of a Hersheys wrapper. He gave it to me as part of a deal for the Burley tandem. Weird though, it doesn't have the pump peg on the back of the seat tube like my yellow 88 had, and the head tube joint is tigged not fillet brazed? Has the roller cams too~!

Fast forward to today. I am minding my own business working on a repair bike, when a lady comes by saying she has an older Trek mtb in her car she wants to sell. My coworker and I walk out to see a 93ish aluminum Trek 8000 in pretty nice condition. Bone stock down to the black LX hubs, and LX/XT derailleur mix. I ask her how much she wanted for it, and a deal was struck for $80. I am now going to have a very nicely equipped 88 High Sierra, if I don't keep the bike in one piece. It's a pretty tough decision, hehe.,,,,BD
