Which is why you need to prioritize skills. Knowing how to operate a vehicle is an important skill to have, since having that skill at one's disposal opens up many options; like being able to take jobs that a car-free person could not get.

Lot's of "car free" people in WNY miss out on great jobs because it's impractical to get to them.

Obtaining a driver's license in the United States is a no-brainer. You may never drive, but having that option open is the key part here.

It's like knowing how to operate a computer, and effectively use the internet. You may never need that skill, but it opens up a host of options.
