I just got off the phone with Mike, and he was super pleasant to speak with, and had answers to all my questions about the Super Drive from optics to if they tested the mount in the cold. (the optics were designed to give a smooth beam with no hot spot or artifacts, and the mount has been tested to -21c/-6f with no problems.)

Clearly A LOT of thought has gone into these lights. The design, optics and driver sound excellent, if the beam pattern is good (and I have high hopes it will be after speaking to Mike) then this light will be a winner.
