That was such a cool bike, there is something really special about a super high-end Italian race bike that has been beat to hell but still gets ridden---and ridden a lot. He even had the original fenders on it.

If a bike turns up stolen in his store, he has the name and address of the person who sold the bike and will contact the police, just like a pawn shop would if your stolen radio turned up in their store. Uncle Jacob is on the police's radar only because he is the biggest seller of used bikes downtown, not because he sells stolen bikes. If you try to sell a bike to him without I.D., he won't buy it because it would be breaking the law, just like any other pawn shop.
