Hi Scrod,

I have a front brake with a bar-top style brake lever. I want to replace the lever with one that has a larger clamp. The levers are identical save the clamp diameter. There is a small cap that has been pressed on to the cable-end.

I think all I need to do is cut off the small cap and pull the inner cable out, effectively detaching the lever from the caliper. Then feed the cable back through the new lever, the housing and the caliper. Leaving aside all the clamping, tightening and aligning, am I on the right track here as far as switching the lever?

Thank you!

↓↓↓ Awesome, thanks again.
