Those schwalbe delta cruisers are what's gonna slow you down. Heavy and hard as a rock.
Get some quality tires and the thought of wider=slower will fade.

Every Schwalbe tire I've ever picked up I've put right back down. They've all felt super heavy and rigid. I'm no weight weenie, but it counts for a lot in the wheels and tires.
