This thread inspired me to re-assemble the old SunTour stem shifters I had sitting in pieces in a box on the shelf. They aren't going on a bike, but I did re-assemble them.

I've got a pair of old 7-speed Shimano Mountain LX thumb shifters on my shelf that switch between indexed and friction. They're in good condition, and the indexing works very well. The only caveat is that they bolt onto the brake lever (similar to how the Avid Matchmakers work). Let me know if you're interested. I converted the bike they were on to 9-speed and doubt I'll ever have a use for them.
