Yes. I carry it in my seat bag. The whole point in getting a mobile phone "back in the day" was "in case of emergency." Nowadays, it's a backup navigation device, backup cyclometer, and a camera to document the amazing scenery or oddities seen on the ride. As said above, my bike cost MUCH more than my phone and if I were to crash, I'd be thinking about myself and my bike long before I thought about the contents of my bag.
