Really? It seems that everyone I work with owns at least 2, if not 3 or 4. It's like some sort of command centre when they lay them all out on their desks, next to their desk phone, and all these things ring, and ring, and ring.
Meanwhile ... I rarely carry a phone of any sort

Not while I ride, not while I walk, not while I'm in a car, not while I shop, not at work, not at school ...
In fact, here at home, we don't have a landline, and most of the time, our mobile phone is flat. I couldn't say where the mobile is at the moment ... and that's OK. It's not like I need to use right now. I could probably count on two hands the number of times I've used it (or any phone outside of work) in the 2+ years I've been here in Australia. I also try to avoid using the phone at work. Just don't particularly like phones very much.
