I have the other thread going on with a Miyata 1000. That one is an 81, and definitely has 27 inch wheels. I put some 700c wheels (Mavic 500 hubs, MA40 rims) on it, and it seemed like it might work. But that was just a guess-- I don't know if the brakes would really adjust to work correctly. I have almost no experience adjusting canti brakes.
