Uhm, don't think that's exactly right. Dorel is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock exchange. Perhaps the Schwartz family still owns a significant portion of the stock. However, it's not common to refer to publicly traded companies as "family owned".

OK how about family controlled? They have more voting shares. Fidelity owns about 10% for the partial US ownership.
