^^^^This. I teach her/their spawn every day at university-level. If they are 'gone', they are 'gone'; an "E" is branded on their foreheads from birth, and there ain't nothin' you, nor I, can do about it. Lecturing, hectoring, yelling ... nothing will get through the fog of self. Sometimes I think this character trait is genetically transmitted.
Just sayin'.
