Generally a good wipe down of the frame with some warm soapy water and a good cleaning of the drivetrain should be fine. I use a chain cleaning tool with some simple green and then wipe the chain and cogs down with a rag, dry then lube. I would also strongly recommend using latex gloves when cleaning the chain to avoid black crud all over you hands.
