If you are crazy about the bike and it is exactly what you want, yes.
Why not make a memorable weekend out of it? Drive there, buy the bike, stay in a hotel and ride around a new town!
I drove from San Diego to Northern Colorado for a great deal on a motorcycle. It was a little 500cc Kawasaki being sold by a Harley dealership in a town that had nearly a foot of snow on the ground. I was very happy with that bike and now have a great memory and story about it:
When I returned home, I noticed that my wife's cat was gone. "Oh no! Lisa is going to be so unhappy! I can't believe another one of her cats got out and got eaten by the coyotes!

....Wait a minute, her clothes are gone too..."

She'd left and we ended up getting divorced. And that was just the beginning with that bike. I ended up much happier now in the long run though.
I guess the lesson here is: if you take a journey for a bike, bring your old lady along for good luck.
