and yet, with all the strangers' advice, he manged to come up with an economical plan that will require him only to unscrew 5 bolts and spend a few bucks on a chainring. That's just a little more than what he started with, and that's the purpose of this place.
Sounds like this internet bike forum thing is like everything else- lots of people passionate about the subject, sprinkled with drama queens that quote out of context and add no value.
