It's called cyclist's intuition.

Also because I've always seen those people along my runs and they've never been on a bike. In addition you can tell from the way they dress.
For your second question. Yes. Or else I track you down and smack you in the back of the head from behind yelling, "where's your bike bro?".
EDIT: Alright, I won't deny it; I admit that I hate that chrome has officially gone mainstream. I no longer feel special with a chrome bag.

I do like chrome and their business practices and ideals through; they deserve to go mainstream.

Hopefully they don't sell out to the profit motive.
